The Cost of time

Have you ever sat back and thought what time costs us? If spent wrong it could cost us a lifetime. Where is your time spent? Family or maybe work. Which gets more of your time work or family? Did you have to go to the meeting instead of the football game or ballet recital? While rushing to the meeting did you notice the elderly lady having trouble carrying her bags? Would you have noticed if it had been your mother or grandmother? The roses in full bloom, did you notice them? Did it remind you of your wife's birthday? The flowers were her favourite. Did you stay late at work while she cried herself to sleep? Did you notice the tears? Or were you to busy? Now think how much has time cost you? Did you spend it the way you should? You're eighty now, do you like how you spent your time? Did you see your child grow? First step, precious laugh. Where you there to see? Did you make time for God or did you leave him behind to? procrastination

Image
Siting in my chair paints, paper, paint brushes and pallet all in front of me ready to be used. Going through my mind? Multiple beautiful scenes just waiting to be put onto paper. Yet something is holding me back. I can't seem to pick up the brush or even the paints to mix them. What is the problem you ask? A bad case of procrastination. I keep thinking in my head. What if I do it wrong? What if I mess it up? What if it won't look good? Yet I won't know until I try. So what if I mess up. I can try again I'm not perfect none of us are and we will of course make mistakes the important thing is to learn from them. So what if a color comes out too dark then I try again. Yet I couldn't bring myself to paint even still. So I stop what I'm doing and pray. All the negative thoughts leave. I pick up the brush and paint. And even if things don't turn out right the first time  I just have to have faith and try again.

Let's talk hobbies

Here lately I have tried making cards like i used to when I was younger. And though I'm nor that good I find myself enjoying making them just as much as when I was younger. Is there anything that you used to do while you where young but has given up on it now that you are older? Or maybe became to busy? Maybe you used to paint or draw? Well why don't you take some time and try doing those hobbies again. Here are some samples of my cards if you would like to buy a digital copy please message me on one of my social media's. Even if you yourself is not interested sharing them with friends is greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for the support

Welcome

Hello and welcome to my blog. I know sometimes introduction posts are boring but bare with me. I decided a few months ago that I wanted to start a blog but had been putting it off but now have decided to stop procrastinating. So let me start off by saying I like to write short stories and poetry as well as sketch and paint. And I like to share my love for God and Jesus through my work. And now I'd love to share my love for my Lord and savior Jesus Christ through my blog posts. So welcome and please join me along my journey in writing, sketching and painting but most importantly my walk with Jesus. And hopefully I can be some inspiration as well.
